Corbin Foster is a composer, bassist, and sound engineer. Born in Washington, he grew up in Long Beach. He began his music studies at an early age. After tinkering on the family piano, figuring out Motown songs, his parents soon enrolled him in piano lessons. Over his early musical education, he learned piano, clarinet, tuba and percussion. His main performance instruments are double bass, guitar, and yes, still the piano.
A product of the Community College system, Corbin received an Associates of Music at Fullerton College. He completed a Bachelor of Music in Composition at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University, Long Beach. As a bassist, he has studied under Luther Hughes, Roger Shew and Paul Zibits. As a composer he studied with Robin Cox, Carolyn Bremer and Alan Shockley.
He currently lives in Redlands, CA working in video post-production, live sound for music festivals and managing a community orchestra.
